Haunted
52Frames - Week 26 - Flashlight
I started on this challenge in a completely different direction and it just wasn't working. This idea was discovered by accident when I realized that the onyx mask on my desk is translucent.
Initial processing in Lightroom, canvas adjustments in Photoshop and b/w & selective color in Silver Efex Pro 2.

UnMag Mile - Plate 2
Michigan Avenue
Chicago, IL
Another shot using some new post-processing plugins and process. This photo also uses Perspective Efex to correct perspective distortion and Analog Efex Pro for a vintage camera effect.
It was hard to believe the lack of auto and foot traffic on Michigan Avenue given that Chicago is in Phase 3 of its reopening and the Lakefront path opened.

UnMag Mile
The rectilinear forms, along with the pop of red from the Tumi store, seemed Mondrian-like in this view along Michigan Avenue.
The empty Michigan Avenue wasn't looking magnificent today.

Arctic Plain
52Frames - Week 25 - Make a Background
Created this abstract background in deference to an environmental mission to the Arctic experienced by my son's girlfriend a year ago. This photo pales in comparison to the stories and images she came back with.
Thanks for the inspiration, Regan.

Fur Coat Dude
Union Station
Chicago, IL
Came across this character strolling through the train station. Admittedly, not a great quality shot, in part due to cropping. However, it is a good one for experimenting with post-processing plugins; Color Efex Pro 4 and Analog Efex Pro 2.

"More"
52 Frames - Week 24 - Hands
I knew that my grandson was going to be the subject of this week's challenge. I did not have a preconceived idea of what the shot would be like.
When giving him breakfast this morning, it dawned on us that our son & daughter-in-law have taught him his first word in sign language (since he's too young to talk). So while I framed the shot, my wife prompted him with the word. He was very cooperative!

Hooked
TooTook a bike ride today to Independence Grove - 26 miles round trip. While there, I observed this family catch and release a sizable specimen out of this small lake.
I was going for a silhouette shot and converted to b/w because the color was distracting to the contrast between the family and the water.

'Cause I Got No Rhythm
52 Frames - Week 23 - Dancing
This is the week I thought the streak might end until I came across this sculpture/sign on a walk with my wife. We looked at each other, smiled, and agreed it would be a waste of money to enroll. Note the title of this image for the reason why.
But I did get my shot for this week's challenge. Streak continues!
