I have been posting to this blog for over 14 years, each year reporting on accomplishments over the prior year and goals for the new year.

In 2025 and beyond, this Blog will be my main photography communication vehicle. Content will be varied and in the spirit of my approach to photography as described on the "About" page of my website at www.jeffmarcowitz.photography

The Project W pages on the website will be a curated collection of work representing the “Best Of” images posted here on the Blog. With a subscription, you'll continue to receive an email (with content) whenever I post to the Project W Blog.

Thanks to all of you who have followed this photo blog for many years and welcome to any newcomers. My hope is that the images and stories are interesting and thought-provoking as I continue this creative journey. As always, comments, critiques and suggestions (here and the website) are welcome and appreciated as they often lead to new ideas and inspiration.

Thank You.

Poopy Head

Poopy Head
Cancun, MX
It was not this guy, but one of his brethren nailed me at the La Isla mall last week 😬.  Everyone was laughing hysterically...except me!

"Good Morning, Chair". "Good Morning, Tree".

52 Frames - Week 5 - Chair
EC: Tell A Story

Cancun, MX
I photographed this scene a couple of times last week, so when this week's prompt opened up, I shot it again with foreground emphasis on the chair.  Claiming the EC as I imagined these two inanimate objects greeting each other as the sun rose.

On the way to the ocean to witness a beautiful sunrise, I observed this scene as an IRL get high composition.

Hard to miss the strong presence of the blues in the sky, ocean and pool.

Barely Breaking Through

Barely Breaking Through

Not the most desirable weather so it was nice to see the sun actually breaking through.

Dive!

Dive!
52Frames - Week 5 - Shoot From Below

This was a tough choice to make.  Since the prompt did not say how far below the subject one had to be, I chose this one because 1) I was below the pelican and the camera was angled up, and 2) it captured action and interplay between the people and pelican.

I'll separately post the runner-up photo on my blog and website (www.jeffmarcowitz.photography).
