52 Frames - Week 20 - Not What You See

I admit, coming up with an idea for this week's challenge was a struggle.  However, in the end, it gave me the opportunity to use a workflow different from normal.

Instead of my usual Lightroom workflow, I also used Photoshop, Color Efex Pro 2 and Sharpening Pro 3.  And after all that, it's still the worst photo technically that I've submitted thus far.  But after 3 hours, and not having the patience level of my 52F friends, I decided to follow Yosef's mantra that completing the challenge is more important than making the shot perfect.  Hence, this result.

We had the opportunity to babysit our 9 month old grandson this week.  Tummy time is not his favorite.  Nonetheless, I had no problem getting off the remaining balance of my 24 shots (digital roll of film) while he entertained himself.

Usually when shooting in public places, you don't get this request.  I was a little taken aback in Istanbul when it came in one of the street markets.  He was a cute precocious kid and I obliged.  He loved the image in the camera LCD and thanked me.  I loved the experience.

This shot was taken at the Ferry Terminal in Kadikoy awaiting a ferry back to Istanbul.  I recall the look of resignation on the gentleman's face performing the shoe shine, and the smugness of the guy getting the shoe shine.
