Dedication Or Smarts?

Not sure if it is dedication or smarts that caused these gents to play sports at night with daytime temps of 100 and nights dipping into the 80s.  Either way they presented good IRL moments to capture this week's challenge photo.

Went with the opposite of the EC - long exposure rather than 1/4000.  I wanted to try out the built-in ND filter on the Ricoh.  I definitely consider this a streak-saver shot.

Weird Reflection

While multi-tasking at my desk, I observed this weird reflection coming off the end of my iPhone.  Sensing there was an image here that could solve this week's 52Frames challenge, I pulled out the list and identified:

And I still cannot explain the reflection.

Taking advantage of a stormy evening for a low-key shot from my balcony.  Across from our condo is a small office building with reflective glass.  All the lights were off in the offices so turning lights on in the condo made for silhouette backlighting of my reflection.  Hence a low-key, reflected silhouette, self-portrait image.

Ghost Man

From the C.London website: "As you may have guessed, Low Key photography is the opposite of last week’s prompt. In low key images, the tones are darker and shadows are more present overall. Low key photos may read mysterious, graphic, etc. For this week, manipulate the scene to create a low key photograph."

With a slight break in the weather, I wanted to explore my immediate neighborhood for a low key photo opportunity. I found this composition and had to react quickly when the sun and clouds presented an interesting reflection with lots of contrast. This was the best of the bunch.
