Approaching the Monastery of Jeronimos in Belém, the skies darkened and reflections in the pool became more prominent. While water is not the primary subject of this scene, it plays a significant role in the overall composition.

EC: Water Droplet Photography

I love it when IRL situations provide opportunity for the weekly 52Frames challenge (and EC).  I hate it when it costs alot of $$$.  This week, a simple cartridge replacement is turning into a more complicated endeavor due to a leaky shower valve.

52Frames - Week 30 - Water

Went with the opposite of the EC - long exposure rather than 1/4000.  I wanted to try out the built-in ND filter on the Ricoh.  I definitely consider this a streak-saver shot.

States of H2O

52Frames - Week 4 - Water

I tried to accomplish three things with this image:

1.  Represent the three states of H2O - liquid, solid and gas

2.  Depict the USA colors joining together; with leadership in the White House, perhaps now we can truly be the UNITED STATES again.

3.  Try my hand at compositing 4 images in Photoshop.

Shower Time

52Frames - Week 31 - Water

Wanted to try some stop action this week with water.  Since I don't have a flash for my Sony mirrorless, I pulled out the old Panasonic GX7 with on-camera flash.

My wife thought I was crazy, shooting in the dark on a stepstool and trying to stay dry.
