It's been awhile since my last Frank Chu sighting. Frank said he was doing OK.

I was struck by how well this guy fit into the scene in the window backdrop. And that was before the b/w conversion!

Frankie
Via Flickr:
While shooting photos in the Union Square area, he approached me and asked if I had any change so he could get something to eat. I told him about the $2 Portrait project and he started posing for pictures.
Frankie is 48 years old and has been in San Francisco for 8 years. He was born and raised in Texas and still has family there. I asked him what kind of work he used to do and he said "volunteer work". He was no more specific than that. I gave Frankie $2 and he immediately asked for more, which I found ironic since his first request was only for change. I offered to get him some food, but he opted for the $2 instead.
