Had the grandkids overnight and took them to dinner with a clear sky.  A storm blew in and there was a microburst just as we were leaving.  My granddaughter was mesmerized by the downpour while we waited it out.

Wonderful day for a photo walk at Montrose Harbor in Chicago, IL on May 25th.  While I wasn't thrilled with many of the photos shot that day, I did capture a few I'll post here in the next few days.  These two are the best of the Chicago skyline images.

Almost a full moon on 5/22 with clear skies.  According to PhotoPills, 99.7%.  Since full moon was going to be at 6:54am on 5/23, figured this is as close as I'm going to get for a photo.

EC: Use A Macro Lens

As seen in the storefront window of Indian Motorcycles in downtown Racine, WI.  Entire coloring of this dog sculpture was done with buttons.

Claiming the EC because while the lens itself isn't macro, it's attachment to my Sony is via a close-focus adapter.

Midday sun creates difficult shooting conditions.  I was struck by the contrast of the white buildings and roofs against the blue sky and the repetition of diagonals. Processing in black and white further emphasizes these elements to create striking compositions.

I Made...

52Frames - Week 18 - Something I Made

...A Purchase!

I love my FF Sony kit, but sometimes I just don't like the bulk of the larger lenses.  After looking at some M mount lenses for my friend's Leica, I contracted a serious case of G.A.S. and acquired two full frame Voigtlander lenses with an adapter for Sony E-mount.

This photo is a composite as I used each lens to capture a photo of the other.  Left is a 28mm F2 and right is a 40mm F2.8.
