Ken was one of the artists at the art fair today.  I admired his art and his beard.  Ken described his beard as reaching "terminal length"; the point at which it no longer grows. Last trim? He doesn't remember.

Went with the opposite of the EC - long exposure rather than 1/4000.  I wanted to try out the built-in ND filter on the Ricoh.  I definitely consider this a streak-saver shot.

Scott was a cool sales guy at the Eddie Bauer outlet store and allowed me to photograph his striking beard for the series.

Two Beards - Same Guy

On a photowalk at the Libertyville Farmers Market, I spotted the beard & long locks and, since we share hair color, struck up a conversation.  Alfredo said he's had the beard forever and just trimmed it and cut his hair for donation.  He found a photo before the trim and shared it with me (see 2nd photo below).

I'm including this shot as part of my "Beards" series.

52Frames - Week 27 - Trianglular Composition

I enlisted my 5 year old grandson to build a sculpture with triangles using only the triangle pieces from his magnetic tile set. There were lots of triangular compositions embedded within this structure. I was advised that "this is for space".

Three More Beards

Late in June, on a photowalk at the Kenosha Harbor Market with a photography friend, I spotted a few remarkable beards and decided to continue the series.  In each case I asked for a photo and all obliged.
