I have been posting to this blog for over 13 years, each year reporting on accomplishments over the prior year and goals for the new year.

2024 is no different. My main photography goal for the year is listed in the January submission of the 2024 C.London 52 Week Photography Challenge. Content this year will work towards that goal in addition to my general shooting. Check out my website "About" page to learn more. The website is at www.jeffmarcowitz.photography

All content posted here in the blog will also be on the website, however with a subscription to the blog, you'll continue to receive the email notifications.

Thanks to all of you who have followed this photo blog for many years and welcome to any newcomers. My hope is that the images and stories are interesting and thought-provoking as I continue this creative journey. As always, comments, critiques and suggestions (here and the website) are welcome and appreciated as they often lead to new ideas and inspiration.

Thank You.

Can't Get Enough

#10: Can't Get Enough
C.London52w4 - A Day in the Life

From the C.London website: “Choose one day this week where you will document the entire day - from the moment you wake up, to the moment you go to sleep. Aim to take at least one photo every hour. At the end, cull it down to no more than 10 photos which tell the story of your day. Then, choose just one hero photo which sums it up in its entirety.”

Wednesday is my favorite day of the week; it’s the day we babysit for our 18 month old grandson.  The day started early with a pickup from his house and the trip back to our place.  Morning playtime and then disaster struck.  All bundled up ready to go outside, he tripped & fell into a metal sculpture and got a cut between his eyes at the bridge of his nose.  No photos of that episode!  Things got better after his nap (during I was able to check email, etc.).  Then lunch, a hallway hike at our condo, reading time and his new favorite, the “boo-pa” (iPad).  And of course, late afternoon TV time of his favorite, Daniel Tiger.  Ended the day with dinner, his bath & bed.  I spent the next few hours culling 103 photos down to 10 (Flickr - Day in the Life) and zeroing in on the “hero shot”.

Oftentimes when he is sleeping over at Camp Mimi & Pops, we end the day with some TV time watching Daniel Tiger. One of the few times he sits still. Since 90% of my day was spent with him, his story is my story for A Day in the Life.
